Determine the signal strength on iPhone and other network data.
The most accurate way to determine the signal strength on iPhone is to enter "Field Test Mode". To do this, go to the keypad in the phone application and enter *3001#12345#*, and press call. This will enable field test mode, where you can obtain extensive technical information about your 2/3G wireless signal. This information was lifted from http://www.griffintechnology.com/articles/633, this company make iPhone 2G cases designed to increase signal strength. Unfortunatly they don't work with 3G. |
