Our Special Guest Speaker will be Reid Purvis from VMware. Reid's presentation will include:
Presenter Profile - Reid Purvis Reid Purvis is a VMware Certified Engineer representing the NSW Public Sector Territory from a pre-sales technical perspective. Originating from Vancouver Canada, Reid has worked throughout the world as an IT Consultant specializing in large outsourcing managed services. After graduating from the University of British Columbia, Reid started his own systems integration business selling and upgrading Novell Netware servers and performing Microsoft Windows NT consulting. Reid is a Novell and Microsoft certified trainer and has taught students throughout Australia, the United States and overseas in Saudi Arabia and various Middle Eastern countries. Extensive senior technical and pre-sales technical experience was gained during his time working for Digital, Compaq and HP's Managed Services outsourcing group. He was responsible for the Asia Pacific technical sales and design of large outsourcing infrastructure for HP's managed services clients. Reid is a certified ITIL Master and believes that an essential component of all IT solutions is the improvements they can provide to business processes. Reid has worked with various customers and partners to design and implement infrastructure projects using VMware products. He looks forward to the incredible opportunities and capabilities that virtualisation technologies hold for partners and customers in improving their IT services and environment The next meeting will be at: Wednesday the 27th of August Please arrive a few minutes before hand so we may begin on time.6:00-6:30PM for drinks/food.
